We have started buddy reading with some of the kids in Tawhirimātea. They came to meet us on Tuesday and we showed them our reading books and the poems we have done so far. Next week they are bringing a book to read to us from the library and we will show them our new poem. It was great to meet new kids at school and we will look out for them in the playground from now on!
How delightful for both age groups :)) I still recall reading to new entrants when I was at school 😉
