For our last assembly of the term, we shared the taniwha pictures we created on the iPads using the app, ‘Explain Everything’. We created these taniwha to help us protect and look after our place within the school, Hikihiki. Each taniwha created is unique to us and our thoughts on what we need to do to help our area flourish, from endless water to help the plants grow, to wings that create wind to keep everyone cool on hot days. We hope you enjoy our presentation.

Aotahi week 9 – Maths
Here is a little look at what maths looks like in the Aotahi, New Entrant Studio.
Book Character Day
It was great to see everyone dressed as their book character having fun!
Aotahi week 7 – Buddy Reading
We have started buddy reading with some of the kids in Tawhirimātea. They came to meet us on Tuesday and we showed them our reading books and the poems we have done so far. Next week they are bringing a book to read to us from the library and we will show them our new poem. It was great to meet new kids at school and we will look out for them in the playground from now on!
Week 6 – Token box reward!
Our school-wide token box is full and our reward was a bouncy castle! How lucky are we?!
Here we are having the best time on Thursday!
