Every Friday we go to our library to look at and borrow new books for the weekend! We love library time and even get to enjoy a story before we head back to Aotahi for Poetry. Here are some photos of our time in the library today.

Life Education – Week 9
You may have noticed the Life Education van here at school. We were lucky enough to meet Harold and his friend Jo this week and learn about what our bodies need to stay happy and healthy. Here are some photos from our visits.
Choice and CHallenge – Week 7
Friday is always a favourite here in Aotahi and that’s because of Choice and Challenge! It is a time for our seniors to show their leadership skills and create some awesome activities for the juniors to take part in. Here are some photos from the last two sessions we have had.
TRY-athlon – Week 6
WHAT A RACE! Thank you to everyone who came to watch and help with our studio TRY-athlon. There would have been some very tired children yesterday. We are so proud of all the tamariki giving it a go!
Parklands Sport – Week 5
What a week 5! On Monday we had Steve from Parklands United come and teach us some soccer skills. Today we had a performance from STRIKE percussion! It was loud and so much fun to watch. Here are some photos from our session with Steve on Monday.
Action!
As part of our theme, Action/Hohenga we created some artwork for things we like to do. Here is a clip to show you our work!
Swimming!
We are very lucky to have our very own swimming pool here at Rāwhiti. Here are some photos of the Aotahi children enjoying the pool in the first few days back at school!
Aotahi Week 7 – Athletics
What an awesome day we had at Athletics yesterday! I was so impressed by how everyone from Aotahi gave each event a go and tried their best! Here are some photos from the afternoon.
Aotahi Week 6 – Bee-Bots
This week we were lucky enough to have our Aotahi expert LOUISE bring in the Bee-Bots for us to work with. These little robots can help us explore lots of things while having fun and trying something new! The Bee-Bots helped us, estimate length, learn left from right, take turns, and share the Bots. Thank you, Louise! and Elizabeth for letting us use them this week.
